Photography Masters Conference I just returned from the Photography Masters Conference in Grado-Italy. I was invited  to give a lecture and doing a workshop on this conference.

Grado is a wonderful town located near Venice. The conference itself was organised by Patrizia Burra and her husband Corrado Pipan. And was sponsored by Nikon

I derive inspiration from the people I see on street, while listening to music, watching movies, or by looking at old paintings. And create my own story in my head that may lead to a new photo project.

Peter Kemp shares the same city as once inhabited by legendary painter Vermeer – Delft, Netherlands. And the 52 year old photographer is profoundly affected by the fact. His conceptual artwork on photographic plate bears the intensity of dramatic expressions so essential for an evocative experience of a good story in the frozen moment inside the ornate frame.

PHOTOGRAPHY MASTERS CUP HONORS PHOTOGRAPHER PETER KEMP FROM THE NETHERLANDS

LOS ANGELES (2013-02-08) -  photographer Peter Kemp of the Netherlands was presented with the 6th Annual Photography Masters Cup Nominee title three times in the category of Fine Art and Fashion at a prestigious Nomination & Winners Photoshow.

The live online ceremony webcast Saturday, February 16, 2013 was attended by photography fans in 86 countries who logged on to see the climax of the industry’s most important event for color photography.

The awards international Jury included captains of the industry from Phillips de Pury & Company in New York; Kunst Licht Gallery, Shanghai; XPO Gallery, Paris; Tasveer Galleries, India; BFN, Netherlands; to BBH in London who honored Color Masters with 239 coveted title awards in 18 categories.
